Function:
This Position is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment at the job site and the Company's shop. This Person is respondsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in these technologies. This position requires a very hands-on evaluation of the performance of the equipment and its processes, which can highly affect the outcome of the job.

Relationship:
Reports to the Manager-Field Operations

Job Description
  1. Loading and unloading of all ion exchange media into the vessels.
  2. Loading and off-loading of all hoses, pumps, exchanges, piping, etc.
  3. Setup and assembly for all hoses as required for the job.
  4. Setup and assembly for all pumps and exchanges as required for the job.
  5. Assembly of all threaded piping, pipe fittings and valves as required for the job.
  6. Hydrotest with water, the equipment and all materials used on the job.
  7. Handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals provided by the clients, as it relates to the job.
  8. Perform laboratory experiments to determine the quality and status of the job.
  9. Operate and maintain all equipment as needed for the job performance.
  10. Prepare daily log of activities.
  11. Maintain continuous feed back to the main office on status of the job.

Typical Physical Demands:
The job requires continous and prolonged standing, working in a strained position and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly through the shift. This job may require consecutive seven-day weeks until job completion. This job may also require you to work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week for 3-5 weeks at a time as required to meet the needs of our clients. This work may either be days or nights.

Typical Working Conditions:
Typical working conditions are outside in refining facilities or gas processing plants, exposed to all weather conditions; exposed to potential hazards associated with the customer's plant operations. Occasionally, work will be performed inside the customer's facility and/or laboratory. Job requires 40-60% travel for extended periods of time away from the home base facility.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. 5 years experience working in a refinery or process operations environment with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals
  2. ability to work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week for 3-5 weeks at a time
  3. requires good communication skills both verbally and electronically
  4. fluency in English, Dutch, Spanish
  5. ability to operate equipment with little or no direct supervision
  6. ability to perform all minor maintenance on equipment
  7. troubleshoot equipment
  8. maintain communications with clients
  9. optimize operations of equipment to meet the needs of the client and within the parameters of the job
  10. train new personnel
  11. experience and/or training in laboratory procedures and analytical methodologies;
  12. have high mechanical aptitude; comfortable working with hands and tools;
  13. skilled in operating a personal computer computer and using spreadsheet software;
  14. physically capable of performing duties and responsibilities of the position;
  15. ability to work effectively and efficiently with multiple operators;
  16. ability to adapt to different refinery applications and setups;
  17. hold valid driver's license with no more than three moving violations in 36 consecutive months;
  18. hold valid passport that will allow unrestricted travel
  19. pass drug/alcohol test: and
  20. must be willing to travel world-wide
  21. maintain excellent safety record
